John Brown University shows us how they erected our Windspot in a video.

They installed it last winter and now the students are evaluating its high performance.

Windspot on John Brown University CampusLast February, John Brown University erected a Windspot small wind turbine on campus to provide another level of hands-on experience for students studying renewable energy.

The 60-ft., 3.5 kilowatt capacity Windspot small wind turbine, was tied directly to the Siloam Springs city grid to power trail lights around the university. The University's renewable energy faculty and students are now conducting a one-year evaluation of the turbine production under the given wind conditions.

The small wind turbine was installed on the west side of campus near the Engineering and Construction Management building site.

JBU's renewable energy degree includes courses in wind, solar and biomass energy, practical experience in designing, construction and monitoring renewable energy generators.

In this video you can see how the Renewable Energy majors installed the Windspot. It is a good way for all of us to see how a Windspot can be installed.
